Sara Kochuba

Sara believes passionately in the power of intercultural connections and learning. Some of her professional interests include the intersection of gender, leadership, and career progression; partnership development, incorporating inclusive practices, and the power of introverts in the workplace and beyond. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, Sara spent more than 10 years at Washington & Jefferson College, where she held the roles of Director of Study Abroad and Senior Director of Global Initiatives. More recently, Sara was part of the WorldStrides Higher Education Campus Partnerships team. In this space, she served as the Head Writer and Researcher for WorldStrides’ podcast, Changing Lives Through Education Abroad, in addition to managing programs and partnerships with universities in the region. Sara received the NAFSA Region VI Champion of Diversity and Inclusion in International Education award in November 2024. Outside of the office, Sara loves cooking, traveling with her husband, and curling up with a book and a cat on her lap.
